New Year, New Goals 2022
Hi Friends and family,
Happy New Year! I know it's been a little while since I've posted, it's been kind of crazy around here. It's a new year, and I have a lot of new goals both personally, and professionally. Did you set new goals for the new year? I know this is a little different than my normal blog posts, but I think it's important that you know who I am and a little more about me personally. Insert vulnerability here lol
So back to it. Personally, I want to focus on my mental and physical health. Last year was tough, I lost my sister to colon cancer. Her battle is one I'll never forget, and I pray that I don't have to go down that same path one day. She made it a mission to pound in my head to slow down, enjoy time with my family, and take care of my body. She spoke about how she regretted working so much and focused so much on her career. She was only 48 years old and in what I thought to be great health so the diagnosis was shocking to say the least.
Some of my personal goals for this year include:
Eat better, slow down on the soda's and eat more fruits and vegetables. I love soda, so this is tough. I'm not going to completely give them up but I do want to slow down and focus on drinking more water.
Get some exercise, and get outside more frequently. Enjoy the outdoors and inhale the fresh air. I've worked indoors my whole life, and frankly sometimes it's depressing. It's no wonder I have a vitamin D deficiency. I don't want to focus on a number, like my weight but rather just how I feel.
Make friends and family a priority, make efforts to proactively reach out to friends and family to stay in touch. Send birthday cards, call and check in with others, and maybe even go out for lunch every once in a while.
Focus on my mental health. Do more things that brings calmness, peace, and true happiness. Living during a pandemic sucks, that's really I have to say about all that.
Do more crafty things, and write blogs about how to do them. Film some video so you can do it too.
I've had my real estate license for about a year and a half. I've been working my real estate business in addition to working my full time career at a company that is in the sewing and quilting industry. Last year, I sold my first house and I've had the pleasure to work with several clients on the buying side. I've spent my nights and weekends showing houses, making phone calls, and doing a ton of training. I've really been honing my skills so that I can be the best real estate agent as possible so that my clients feel confident in all my abilities.
Provide amazing service to help my clients close 12 transactions this upcoming year, either buying or selling property.
Increase my social media presence, specifically video content as this is where the future is headed. I already have a great start to the year over on TikTok. If you are on there, be sure to follow me. You can search for @craftyrealestateagent. I plan to expand to Facebook Reels and post more over on Instagram.
Continue to learn, and continue on self development. I want to attend at least 2 seminars this year and complete as much training opportunities as possible which is easy to do with my amazing brokerage. This also includes marketing, and building my network of friends and family.
Network within my community, and within our real estate industry. Give back to the community somehow, I'm thinking of how to combine my love of crafting and the ability to provide a charitable service. Maybe I'll host a craft night where all the money goes to charity. Let me know if you can think of something specific.
Spend more time focusing on my real estate career. I plan on being intentional with my time, and focus on the things that make a difference.
Although these goals are steep, they are achievable with hard work and dedication. I look forward to taking you all along the journey with me. I would love and appreciate any support that you can offer me. Even if you aren't buying or selling, I would love recommendations to anyone that you may know that is buying or selling. https://katherine.greatlifere.com
One thing I noticed this past Christmas was that I don't have many physical addresses anymore. It's kind of hard to send out real life Christmas cards without addresses.
So can I have your address?

Until next time, Thank you for your support and Happy Crafting!
Kindest Regards, Katherine
