A day at the Skybridge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee

I have to start out by saying, I love living in East Tennessee. The Smoky Mountains are so beautiful, and I'm lucky to live within a short drive to go visit them. The other day, my family took a day trip up to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We grabbed some lunch at Mellow Mushroom, pizza is always a favorite with my family.

We then decided to visit the new attraction, Skybridge. https://www.gatlinburgskylift.com/skybridge

"Located at the top of the iconic SkyLift, the Gatlinburg SkyBridge is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America and the most spectacular experience in the Smokies.

From the mountain-top SkyDeck, the SkyBridge quite literally crosses the sky as it stretches 680 feet across a deep valley in a single span. Guests can walk across at their own pace, taking in the panoramic views and enjoying the spectacular setting before walking back when they're ready. With a height of 150 feet at its midpoint, the SkyBridge is an incredible but easily attainable experience you'll remember for a lifetime - especially as you cross the glass-floor panels in the middle of the span. Plus, we doubled the glass panels to provide 30 feet of excitement! It's "double the dare" now. Can you #PassTheGlass?" (Source: gatlinburgskylift website)

I am writing this just as a visitor, I have no affiliation with the attraction

If you are in town and are impressed with breathtaking views, you should visit the sky bridge. Up on top of the mountain, they have several designated viewing decks and areas. They have an indoor souvenir shop, a snack bar, restrooms, and a large sitting area. Outdoor, they have a fire pit and photo areas for great pictures. The sky bridge was covered with an anti-slip mat, so unfortunately we did not get to really get the entire effect of the glass bottom section in the middle of the bridge. We walked to the park, then went back down to Gatlinburg for some shopping. We went back up there at dark, it was beautiful but it was freezing cold.

We had snow flurries while visiting the sky bridge, very appropriate for the occasion. After our visit, we grabbed some dinner at a cute little dinner in town.

If you have not visited Gatlingburg, Tennessee, you should definitely give it a try. If you are an investor, or even considering short term rentals -give me a call. I am happy to help you buy or sell anywhere in the East Tennessee area.

Merry Christmas!
